About Me

I’ve been married to my wonderful husband for 6 years and we have one very spunky little Eli, who is 16 months old.

I have always loved baking, and as a bachelorette it was not unusual to find me with a bowl of half-eaten cookie dough as my supper. Growing up I watched my mom, a fabulous and creative cook, whip up delicious meals each night for our family…I figured after getting married it wasn’t fair to feed my husband brownies for dinner each night, and thus, I ventured into the world of “real food” :-)

It’s been a fun challenge ever since to come up with new and creative dinner ideas. I’m always on the lookout for creative ways to use up dabs of leftovers and whip up wholesome meals in minutes.  I love cooking, but life is to be enjoyed too – around the dinner table and not just the stove!

So, why start a blog?

  1. I love food, and I love talking about food!
  2. After reading  countless “Quick Dinner” type cookbooks, I thought it was time someone put together a collection of recipes and tips for really easy meals.  That mean no cheese I can’t pronounce, no special or expensive ingredients used only for one recipe, no multi-step processes that take twice as long as the recipe says and make a huge mess in your kitchen…well, you get the idea ;-)
  3. I hope these posts will be an inspiration to go into your kitchen and create something new with what you have on hand; it’s easy to get stuck in a rut with the same few things for dinner over and over, but sometimes all it takes is one little idea to spark your creativity.  I hope Supper Quick will serve as your “spark” for something new, yet simple!

If you are reading, I’d love to meet you!  Please feel free to sign my “Guest Book” below and share your thoughts!
